Djibouti Ambassador Express Concern Drought

Djibouti — The Djibouti ambassador to restive Somalia on Thursday expressed a deep concern about the drought that hit many regions in southern and central Somalia.

Dayib Dubad Roble, the Djibouti representative to Somalia, told reporters in Mogadishu that the Djibouti government calls for international community and aid agencies to act quickly to help the drought stricken people who are facing toughest of their life.

Mr. Roble noted Somalia needs enormous international help to save the lives of many people in the country who affected by both conflict and drought.

Lately, he said he had met with Somali president Sheikh Sharif Sheikh Ahmed to impart an official letter of invitation from Djibouti leader who recently won for the third time in office to attend his inauguration.
