Djibouti to Airlift Aid Medicine to Famine Hit in Mogadishu

Mogadishu — The Djibouti government on Wednesday said it will airlift aid medicine at Mogadishu airport and intended to help the famine hit Somalis who are suffering from different diseases including malnourishment, diarrhea and other deadly disorders.

The Djibouti ambassador to Somalia, Dayid Dubad Roble made the announcement while he was speaking at Mogadishu after handing over thousands of dollars in cash to famine victims at Mogadishu’s Benadir Hospital.

The ambassador also noted that his government sent two doctors who will voluntarily give health support to the famine victims with diseases.

The stamtnent of The Djibouti ambassador to Somalia comes only a day after Ismail Omar Guelleh arrived at Mogadishu to witness the problems Somali drought displace people lead in.
